Regular people have dreams and goals too. Success isn’t limited to the elite or lucky, although sometimes it can feel that way. I’m not a great thinker, a maven or have any special skills or education that set me apart from the rest of the crowd. I’m not well connected, in fact, just the opposite. I’m just a regular guy who is most “in the zone” when I’m creating, building, and following my own path. And as new age-y as that sounds, I ain’t no hippie. (Go to stevepavlina.com if you want vague, spiritual, philosophical nonsense.)
This here diary, blog, whatever you want to call it, is the result of action taken, failures measured, successes celebrated, and frustrations vented. Hopefully it will become a useful resource to folks who want to achieve a little more with their life than the typical 9 to 5 trudge up the corporate ladder (or down the ladder, stuck in the mud…you get the picture).
What is a MicroBiz?
In a nutshell, it’s an extremely small business, or group of businesses, that has no intention of growing into a full fledged corporation, but follows the basic principles of a lean startup (customer development). It’s typically a one man/woman show, run from home, and mostly online. No angel investors or VCs. It’s a lifestyle paradigm, as the success of the business isn’t the end goal. Rather, the goal is to build something that is uniquely yours, that generates income, adds value, and allows you to __________________________.
